Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper
From The Nursery Rhymes of England, collected by J. O. Halliwell (London: Warne; first ed. 1842; this printing 1886)
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper;
A peck of pickled pepper Peter Piper picked;
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper,
Where's the peck of pickled pepper Peter Piper picked?
Codex Note
Halliwell's class: Charms. [Sometimes 'off a pewter plate' is added at the end of each line.]
