On Wood of Kent, that prodigious Gormund
From Two Bookes of Epigrammes, and Epitaphs (1639), Book I
Social Commentaries

Consumes dead bodies with so quicke a power,
But I astonied am my selfe, that thus

Of meates, wherewith a Garrison might dine:
His heart's of Oake sure, and his stomacke Pine.
