Social Commentaries
Of carnall pleasure
From Two Bookes of Epigrammes, and Epitaphs (1639), Book I
Social Commentaries
The strongest shaft, which to the metall'd head
The Devill drawes, each loving heart to slay,
Is that fond pleasure, which in lazybed
Slips from the string of Lust, and hastes away.
