Diffusion of goodnesse

by Thomas Bancroft fl. 1633–1658

From Two Bookes of Epigrammes, and Epitaphs (1639), Book II

Social Commentaries

For our peace-loving Lord doth take
Delight in gentle soules to rest,
Whose goodnesse doth (like th' Altars fume)
Spread sacred sweets, but nere consume.
