Social Commentaries
Good preachers, Gods favourites
From Two Bookes of Epigrammes, and Epitaphs (1639), Book II
Social Commentaries
When Salomon the sacred Temple built,
God favour'd him, nor knew he then the guilt
Of what might vexe him, sinfull vanity:
So those that Gods deare Church doe edifie,
Keeping sin under, are in high regard
With him, that Crownes his workemen with reward.
