Death & Dying
An Epitaph on Alexander Hill
From Two Bookes of Epigrammes, and Epitaphs (1639), Book I
Death & Dying
An Alexander, and a Hill
(Two lofty things) did envious Death
At once dismount, and thus doth kill
Our hearts too by his losse of breath,
Whose thoughts with Vertue did advise,
And honour'd truth, yet here he lyes.
