We Shall Meet Again

by Cora C. Bass 1868–1928

From Songs for All Seasons, and Other Poems (1901)

Religion

Blest be the tie,
As we say good-bye
That unites our hearts in love;
With the past made plain
We shall meet again,
We shall meet again above.

We look away
To the happy day,
When we all shall walk by sight;
With the past made plain,
We shall meet again,
In the land of life and light.
