For Feeble Hands

by Cora C. Bass 1868–1928

From Songs for All Seasons, and Other Poems (1901)

Religion

It is not so much what we wish that counts,
As the little we really achieve;
The duty we do to-day amounts
To more than we ever perceive.
There are tasks just fitted for feeble hands,
For the feeble as well as the strong;
Be bold to stand where the right demands
And bound to vanquish wrong.
