Simeon's Song, Luke 2.29

Lord, let thy servant now
In peace to thee depart,
According to the gracious word
Of thee who faithful art.
For him mine eyes have seen,
Who brings thy saving grace;
Which thou prepared hast to shew
Before all peoples face.

To the Gentiles a Light
Them to illuminate;
And to thy people Israel,
The glory of their state.
