Love

Epigram XII

by Bhartrihari traditionally 5th–7th century AD

Translated by Paul Elmer More (1898) · From A Century of Indian Epigrams (1898)

Love

Love's fruit in all the world is only this,
That two as one should think;
And they that disagree yet woo love's bliss,
Dead corpse with corpse would link.
