Gethsemane
From Heart Songs (1897)
Religion
O Blessed Christ! O blessed Christ!
The night is deep and long,
And there is none to watch with me
Of all the careless throng.
O blessed Christ! O blessed Christ!
The world lies fast asleep,
Think Thou on dark Gethsemane
And count the tears I weep.
