Living
Peace
From The Cornflower, and Other Poems (1906)
Living
Unbroken peace, I ween, is sweeter far
Than reconciliation. Love's red scar,
Though salved with kiss of penitence, and tears,
Remains, full oft, unhealed through all the years.
