Epigram XVI. On Nero

by Alexander Brome 1620–1666

Translated by Alexander Brome (1664) · From Songs and Other Poems (1664)

History & Politics

He did not hurt her face, or eyes, 'tis true;
But ripp'd her bowels up; 'twas justly done,
They'd guilt enough in breeding such a Son.
