by Alexander Brome 1620–1666

Translated by Alexander Brome (1664) · From Songs and Other Poems (1664)

History & Politics

And do thou keep thy heavenly Castle Jove:
Now sea and Land are subject unto Rome;
Only to Heaven they've yet a path to come.
