Humility the Mother of Charity

by Samuel Taylor Coleridge 1772–1834

From Complete Poetical Works, ed. E. H. Coleridge (1912)

Religion

Is but the fewest faults to have:--
Look thou then to thyself, and leave the rest
To God, thy conscience, and the grave.
