Nature

Song

by Mary E. Coleridge 1861–1907

From Poems (1908)

Nature

Prisoned within these walls,
I think of you.
Lightly the snowflake falls,
The rain too.

Now it is rain, and now
The snow again.
Within — I know not how —
'Tis only rain.
