Book VI, 227
Translated by W. R. Paton (1916–18) · From The Greek Anthology (Loeb, vol. I, 1916)
This silver pen-nib, with its newly polished holder, nicely moulded with two easily dividing tips, running glib with even flow over the rapidly written page, Crinagoras sends you, Proclus, for your birthday, a little token of great affection, which will sympathize with your newly acquired readiness in learning.t which, though not, I think, right, gives the required sense.
This translation is printed as prose in its source edition.
