In Quintum (12)
From Complete Poems, ed. Grosart (1876)
Social Commentaries
Quintus his wit infused into his braine,
Mislikes the place, and fled into his feet;
And there it wandered up and downe the street,
Dabled in the dirt, and soakèd in the raine:
Doubtlesse his wit intends not to aspire,
Which leaues his head, to travell in the mire.
