Love
Unconsciousness
From Underneath the Bough (1898)
Love
He with the Gentle Ones is hid from sight:
We may not follow. He hath dwelt with woes
So dread, he lays his confidence in those
Men shrink from, who remember and requite.
O comfort him, sweet daughters of the Night,
For fear of whom man's thought doth softly tread;
Within your grove let him be deeply led
To reconciliation and repose.
