Love

O burnish well the mirror of thy heart

by Shah Hatim 1699–1783

Translated by Inayat Khan and Jessie Duncan Westbrook (1919) · From Hindustani Lyrics (1919)

Love

O burnish well the mirror of thy heart
And make it fair,
If thou desire the image of thy Love
To shine reflected there.
