Hymn for Holy Innocents' Day

All hail ! ye Martyr Flowers,
Born with the blush of day,
Blossoms for Eden's bowers,
To grace Lord Jesu's way !

Young firstlings for the shrine,
Lambs of a tender fold,
Around the altar shine,
And palmy garlands hold.

Thee, Jesu ! let us laud,
Child of a mother's love.
With Him the Father, God,
And that Eternal Dove.
