To a fat Usurer

by Robert Heath fl. 1636–1659

From Clarastella (1650), Epigrams, Lib. 1

Social Commentaries

You and your purse are fat, and yet I see
Your hand and that stil shut, the reasons this;
In costive flesh thy lean soul buried is.
