Death & Dying

For the Window in St. Margaret's

by Oliver Wendell Holmes 1809–1894

From Before the Curfew

Death & Dying

Where loving hearts his early doom deplore;
Youth, promise, virtue, all that made him dear
Heaven lent, earth borrowed, sorrowing to restore.
