Love

Spretæ Injuria Formæ

by Huang-fu Jen 9th century AD

Translated by Herbert A. Giles (1898) · From Chinese Poetry in English Verse (1898)

Love

See! fair girls are flocking, through corridors bright,
With music and mirth borne along on the breeze

Come, tell me if she who is favoured tonight
Has eyebrows much longer than these?
