Love
To Rose (II)
From Heroic Idyls (1863)
Love
I see a man whom age should make more wise
Unable to repress his swelling sighs
At sight of you. Ah ! let him be forgiven...
Thus swells old Ocean when the queen of heaven
In fullest, brightest, majesty appears.
Ascending calmly mid attendant stars.
