Love
Reprehend, If Thou Wilt, the Vain Phantasm, O Reason!
From Works and Life, ed. Forster, vol. VIII (1876)
Love
Reprehend, if thou wilt, the vain phantasm, O Reason!
Of the breast we have lean'd on, the hand we have linkt,
That dream is so vivid at no other season
As when friendship is silent and love is extinct.
