Love
Cottage Left for London
From Works and Life, ed. Forster, vol. VIII (1876)
Love
The covert walk, the mossy apple-trees,
And the long grass that darkens underneath,
I leave for narrow streets and gnats and fleas,
Water unfit to drink and air to breathe.
