Living

Yes, I Will Come to Oxford Now

by Walter Savage Landor 1775–1864

From Works and Life, ed. Forster, vol. VIII (1876)

Living

Yes, I will come to Oxford now
Juicy and green is every bough,
Unfit as yet to roast a Froude:
Exeter cries, " To what a pass
Are we reduced! alas! alas! "
And Church and College wail aloud.
