Time & Brevity
Quatrain 327
Translated by E. H. Whinfield (1883) · From The Quatrains (Whinfield)

And, if I shrink, the penalty to pay;
Though life might satisfy Thy cruelty,
'Twere naught, I'll bear it till the judgment-day!
