Book II, 31: On two Mysteries
From Divine Fancies (1633), Book II
Religion
A Perfect Virgin, to bring forth a Son!
One, three entyre; and Three, entirely One!
Wonder of Wonders! How might all this come?
We must be deafe, when th' holy Spirit's dumb;
Spare to enquire it: Thou shalt never know,
Till Heav'n dissolve, and the last Trump shall blow.
