Book II, 50: On Censorio
From Divine Fancies (1633), Book II
Religion
Censorio takes in hand, by sharp reproofe,
To mend his Brothers errror, and to snuffe
His darkned Flame; and yet Censorio's crimes
Are rankt among the foulest of the Times:
Let none presume, Censorio, to controule
Or top the dim light of anothers Soule,
If not more pure then him, that is controll'd:
The Temple-Snuffers must be perfect Gold.
