Book II, 67: On Sinnes
From Divine Fancies (1633), Book II
Religion
My Sinnes are like the hayres upon my head,
And raise their Audit to as high a score;
In this they differ; These doe dayly shed,
But, ah, my sinnes grow dayly more and more:
If, by my Hayres, thou number out my sinnes,
Heav'n make me bald, before that day begins.
