Book III, 99: On Glory

by Francis Quarles 1592–1644

From Divine Fancies (1633), Book III

Religion

Has ev'n as perfect Glory, as the best:
There's no Degrees; but in a finite Treasure:
No difference 'twixt Pauls glory & mine, but measure.
