Book I, 34: Doe this and live
From Divine Fancies (1633), Book I
Religion
Doe this and live? Tis true, Great God then who
Can hope for life? for who hath power to Doe?
Art thou not able? Is thy Taske too great?
Canst thou desier help? Canst thou intreat
Aid from a stronger Arm? Canst thou conceive
Thy Helper strong enough? Canst thou beleeve,
The suffrings of thy dying Lord can give
Thy drooping shoulders rest? Doe this and live.
