Book IV, 41: On PLAVSVS
From Divine Fancies (1633), Book IV
Religion
Plausus has built a Church: And lest his Glory
Should dye, has boasted his vain-glorious Story
Vpon the painted Wall, and built to Fame
A large Memoriall of his doubtfull Name:
Plausus, 'tis bravely done; Thy Deeds make knowne
Thou either seekst Gods glory, or thy owne.
