Book IV, 56: On CRASTINIO
From Divine Fancies (1633), Book IV
Religion
Past time is gone, the Future is to be;
Crastinio, say, which most belongs to thee?
The first, thou further goest and further from;
And thou mayst dye before the last shall come:
The first, Crastinio's now growne out of date;
Perchance the last may come, but come too late:
The last's uncertaine, and the first is gone,
The present then Crastinio's thine, or none.
