Book IV, 64: On dying
From Divine Fancies (1633), Book IV
Religion
He that would dye once well, must often trye;
Practice does bring perfection how to dye:
The Law's our Tutor; and the World our Schoole,
Wherein w'are taught by' example, as by Rule:
The Rods Afliction, which being laid away,
The Gospell comes, and begs us leave to play.
