The Trial of Faith, Hymn 9
From Hymns and Sacred Poems (1749) · Osborn ed., vol. 5 (1869)
Religion

The pattern Thou hast left behind,
To suffer all things for Thy sake,
Thy patient, meek, submissive mind
I long throughout my life to' express,
And copy all Thy righteousness.
