John v. 20. We are in Him that is true, even in His Son
Jesus Christ: this is the true God and eternal life

This, this is the true God supreme,
Jesus in whom by faith we dwell;
This is eternal life; in Him
The beatific joy we feel:
With Him into our hearts is given
The' essential happiness of heaven.
Soon as in Christ we truly are,
We see the Father in the Son,
His pure unsinning nature share;
And know that God and Christ are one,
Till faith's perfection we receive,
And fill'd with God for ever live.
