Hymns on the Trinity, 40
From Hymns on the Trinity (1767) · Osborn ed., vol. 7 (1870)
Our heavenly Master is but One,
And Jesus is His name:
But Jesus the eternal Son
Is with His Sire the same:
The Spirit's glorious plenitude
Resides in Christ adored:
Each person doth the three include,
And each we call our Lord.
Taught by our Father in the skies,
Taught by our Saviour there,
Taught by the Holy Ghost, and wise
We to salvation are:
Our God is One in persons three.
Our Teacher is but One,
Who calls us up with joy to see
Tchovah on His throne.
