Hymns and Prayers to the Trinity, 43
From Hymns and Prayers to the Trinity (1767) · Osborn ed., vol. 7 (1870)
Religion
The Father, Son, and Spirit praise,
Restorer of our ruin'd race,
One God eternally adored,
One merciful, almighty Lord!
Hark! He whispers from above
Tells our hearts, that God is love!
The Triune God is found below,
Whom only loving hearts can know,
In every person of the three
Resides the whole Divinity:
God, to me Thy house of clay
Come, and here for ever stay.
