Exodus 16:20: Not so the true immortal Bread

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

Religion

Not so the true immortal Bread,
By which our hungry souls are fed:
If kept by us it always be.
It keeps us from corruption free:
And soon the' incorruptible grace
Shall these vile putrid bodies raise,
Long as our heavenly Food to' endure.
And pure as God Himself is pure.
