Deuteronomy: Be it according to Thy will
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 9 (1870)
Religion
Be it according to Thy will.
According to Thy soul's desire
The gracious principle instil.
The tender awe Thou dost require;
I want an heart to fear my Lord:
O take this heart of stone away,
And let me tremble at Thy word,
And only live Thy word to' obey.
