Deuteronomy 23:9: The host is now gone forth: to fly
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 9 (1870)
Religion
The host is now gone forth: to fly;
Or fight? to conquer; or to die?
O, let us cast our sins away,
That God may hear His servants pray.
May us with more than conquest bless,
AVith glorious and eternal peace.
