Ruth 1:13: I! The hand of the Lord is gone out against me
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 9 (1870)
Religion
Gone out against my body, Lord,
Thy chastening hand I feel in pain,
That wounded by Thy Spirit's sword
My soul might perfect health obtain;
Thy hand is contrary to 7?ie,
That / may all be lost in Thee.
