1 Samuel: gainst the man of sin in me

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 9 (1870)

Religion

gainst the man of sin in me,
O Lord, Thine arm make bare,
End his life and tyranny
Whom I reserve and spare:
Agag is the reigning lust;
O let him feel Thy Spirit's sword,
Sacrificed to God the just,
Devoted to the Lord.
