1 Kings 17:18: To bring my former sins to mind

Religion

To bring my former sins to mind.
My comforts, Lord, Thou dost remove,
Revoke Thy gifts, severely kind.
And chasten me in jealous love:
The father's sin hath slain the son:
And if it still my offspring slays,
Deep humbled in the dust I own
Righteous and good are all Thy ways!
