Thee Thy first disciples saw,
When Thou didst from earth withdraw.
Prostrate they received the sign.
Then the plenitude Divine:
Still our faith with joyful eyes
Sees our parting Master rise.
Thus assured Thy Spirit shall come.
Make us His eternal home.
