2 Kings 3: When by the harp's harmonious aid

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 9 (1870)

Religion

When by the harp's harmonious aid
The fluttering of his spirit is laid,
When nature's latest tumult ends,
The Lord upon his soul descends,
Whose visit greater honour brings
Than three of earth's attending kings!
