Psalm: Misers, hear, by God abhorr'd

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 9 (1870)

Religion

Misers, hear, by God abhorr'd,
Tremble at the dreadful word,
While indulged with a reprieve.
Cursed, yet still on earth, ye live;
Hate, renounce the sin ye love.
Ere the Judge from earth remove,
Ere His wrath in hell ye bear,
Want a drop of water there.
